RUGBY
D Grade won 73-0 over a weaker Hastings Boys High School but a strong all round showing with Will Baines controlling the game well and Oscar McDonald and James Dowley featuring in the forwards. Jack Workman scored three tries and Keegan Jensen and Liam O'Callaghan-King two each.
CANOE POLO
The boys had a good couple of games on Saturday afternoon with a 6-2 win over Eskdale and a 3-2 win over Puketapu. The boys should be pleased with the wins, especially the last goal in the final moments of the Puketapu game for the win. The boys were put under pressure in the second game which made the passing more difficult and forced us to make mistakes, however the boys worked hard the entire game and deserved the win.
VOLLEYBALL
Last term two of our senior volleyball teams played really well in their division.
Volleyball Senior A were 2nd place in division 2. On finals night NBHS Senior B players were organised on court from the start and we lost the first set. Our team worked together during the second set to bring the points to a more even match. Our strong team culture showed through in the final set, with the boys working on communication and skills to come back to win 1 set and get started on the 4th set. The final score was 2-1 to Napier Boys.
Volleyball Senior Red –were 2nd place in division 3. The Senior Red team played a strong CHB College Boys 1 team in their final
