Presbyterian Schools Conference

Lindisfarne along with Iona College were the hosts of the 2022 Presbyterian School Conference at the end of last week. The conference bought together principals, chaplains, and board members from over fifteen presbyterian schools across New Zealand.

The theme this year was 'Ka mua ka muri - Walking backwards into the future' and included innovative and thought-provoking speakers. Many of the keynote addresses and workshops focused on this idea of making the most of our Christian special character and school history whilst at the same time ensuring we continue to grow and develop as relevant, 21st century institutions that meet the needs of our students.

Both Lindisfarne and Iona took the opportunity to have input from our students with Daniel Diprose presenting on the Pilgrimage Story and our College values and George Esson shared the Women's Refuge Service project and its influence on the boys.

The conference was a huge success and provided a wonderful opportunity for Iona and Lindisfarne to work together to produce a high-quality event.
