Our flexible boarding model gives families the freedom to choose what works best for them. Boys can head home for the weekend or stay on campus and enjoy a full programme of sport, activities and downtime with mates.
During the week, all boarders benefit from additional sporting, cultural and academic opportunities, along with the support of staff who live on campus.

Residences are grounded by age, with care and independence growing as the boys do.
Residences are all on-site and are grouped by age. The youngest boys live close to the College centre; older boys enjoy greater independence in senior residences. Up to Year 10 boys share dorms of six, Years 11–12 have twin or single rooms, and every Year 13 has his own room.
Our boarding managers are mostly classroom teachers, so they understand the boys' daily responsibilities and academic pressures. Most live on campus, offering steady support and genuine relationships built through time, attention to detail and care.
Boarding is a brotherhood rich in traditions. Staff and students build relationships of goodwill, trust and respect, and boys develop strong bonds and lifelong friendships that stay with them well beyond their school years.

At Lindisfarne College, boarding arrangements progress by age group from shared 5-to-6-bed dormitories for junior students (Years 7–10) to twin or single rooms for intermediate students (Years 11–12), culminating in private single rooms for Year 13 seniors.
At Lindisfarne College, weekly boarders return home on Friday afternoons while full boarders remain on campus for structured weekend activities and sports, with all student leave being managed and approved by parents via the Orah platform.
Academic support for boarders at Lindisfarne College centres on a structured nightly prep (supervised homework) session. During this time, students have direct access to on-duty house tutors, senior peers, and resident boarding managers, most of whom are full-time classroom teachers.
