The last week of the holidays was a big week of cricket on the College fields.
First off, we hosted the annual Presbyterian Cricket Quad Tournament attended by St Andrew's College and Scots College Wellington. Unfortunately, St Kentigern's were unable to attend with the current L3 restrictions in Auckland.
The first day saw us go down to STAC by eight wickets with Lovepreet Padda top scoring with 51 and Jack Blyth the pick of the bowlers. Day two the team came back to take a win over Scots College with Sam Cassidy scoring 72 and Quin Stephens taking 2/27 off 8 overs.
Whanganui Collegiate School then travelled up for two one day games. In the first, Lindisfarne scored a huge 381/5, with Sam Cassidy setting a new College record of 236 not out in the process. Marcus Sisam was then the best bowler with 3/15 off 9 overs. Lindisfarne won by 237 runs.
The next day Lindisfarne dismissed Whanganui for 103 with Sam Devescovi the best bowler with 4/28 off ten overs. The First XI struggled to a two wicket win with captain Lovepreet Padda scoring 38 not out.
Special thanks must go to our amazing coaching, grounds, and kitchen teams!
Lindisfarne College starts playing in the Senior Men's competition on 30 October. Supporters can now follow games live via CricHQ with our recently installed camera thanks to sponsors 13th Stag and Schaw Livestock.
